Entry 2

Each character has there own complexity and what they desire. But first and for most in the book he is going to his trial with other juveniles. He finds that a suit is placed by him to be formal and serious. The lawyer, O'Brien, warns him about how the prosecutor wanting to push for the death penalty and that their lawyer is really good. Steve's lawyer also warns him that this is very very serious and says that he should look serious so that the jury knows that you think the case is as serious as they do.
This book is very well written and is written like a letter. The theme is very dark and is like a murder book that Steve is trying to survive.
All Steve desires is to not get the death penalty and trying to get out of jail.

My predictions for the next few pages is that he will have many hard times in prison from the other prisoners. I think he will learn the way of life and how he should think of many other ways to survive. Also how he should treat other people and the meaning of life. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good cliff hanger and to anyone who likes how people survive in books.

Entry 1

My book is Monster by: Walter Dean Myers. Major character is Steve Harmon. This is a 16 year old boy on trial for murder. The basic settings are in his cells, at the prison and the courthouse where he is going for his trial. This boy is charged of murder the prosecuter is pushing for the death penalty. This was the conflict that he would have to face the death penalty even though he might not have killed James.

Questions:

• Will he win this trial?
• Instead of getting the death penalty what else will he might get if not that?

My prediction for this book is that he will get to live his life but in his jail cell but when he is able to get out of jail he will try doing the right thing and try changing so he won't get back in prison. I also predict that he will learn a lot of life lessons by his "friends" in the prison. In most movies you have the bad guy trying to get out of prison and proving that he is innocent but most people won't give him a chance from maybe earlier actions. This is also like life and how most "bad teens" are like when growing up. They will make bad mistakes.
