Entry 4

Walter Dean Myers
When I went to the library most books had already been taking including the ones I wanted to read. This was the only book that was left and it looked interesting. The main reason I picked this book is because a lot of people on Goodreads said this was a cool book and it was really good. Since this was going to be a Summer School reading project I decided it was the right time to read this book. When I read the summary I had the feeling that this is like a mystery book with a crime with it. I didn't have any personal connections to this book. But it's one of those books that this happens everyday and to people like me.

This is a Goodreads webcite about Monster and what people thought and their comments. Also a summary of this book and about the author, Walter Dean Myers.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes crime books and reading about hardships with learning experience. Also people who like movie scripts text. Since I don't like that I had trouble reading it but overall this book is great for people in the older generations and maybe people around 15.

Entry 3

"But there is no doubt in my mind, and I believe by the end of the trial there will be little doubt in yours, that these 2 men, James King and Steven Harmon, were all part of the robbery that caused the death of Alguinaldo Nesbitt. Thank you."

This is a quote from the book Monsters written by the one and only Walter Dean Myers. This entire quote is on the page 25 at the bottom. Since my book doesn't really have chapters it was hard to find a good quote but I think this was a great quote because it shows how Steven doesn't win his jury and that he will have to pay the price for his actions. It also shows that he will have to endure any pain thrown at him and makes the book more interesting to read. It gives a plot twist. If the writer didn't make this plot twist then it will probably be the end to this book and that won't be that interesting to read.

Since I have finished this book I will say it was very interesting how the book was writen and to see the main character change as the book went on. In the beginning it didn't really tell me about how he got in jail but as the story continued it became more clear to me what happened.
